Tables on the TI-83.

To set up a simple table:

  1. Choose TBLSET (2nd WINDOW)
  2. Enter the starting x-value at TblStart =

    3. Example TblStart = 0

  3. Enter the "step" at dTbl =

    4. Example dTbl = 1

    4. Set Indpnt = Auto and Depend = Auto

  4. Press Y=
  5. Enter the function to be displayed in the table. Example: Y1 = X-3
  6. Choose Table (2nd GRAPH)
  7. Use the cursor arrows to move throughout

the display

To input X values manually:

  1. Choose TBLSET (2nd WINDOW)
  2. Enter the starting x-value at TblStart =

    3. Example TblStart = 0

  3. Enter the "step" at dTbl =

    4. Example dTbl = 1

  4. Select Indpnt = Ask and Depend = Auto
  5. Press Y=
  6. Enter the function to be displayed in the table. Example: Y1 = X-3
  7. Choose Table (2nd GRAPH)
  8. As you enter x-values, y-values will be displayed.

To change rule from table:

  1. Move the cursor over the Y header (example: Y1) and enter.
  2. Enter the new rule (example: Y1 = X-3) at the bottom of the screen.
